Watercolor pencil on stretched canvas. Dimensions 45" x 60". The pencils were aggressively scratched into the canvas teeth, then the pigment dust spread around with a wet brush, and repeated multiple times for layering. While drawing/painting/scratching the pencils had to be quickly resharpened about every 15 seconds. With this methodology the approximate cost of vibrant pigmentation was only $10, compared to $100 or more had I used oils or acrylics.
