For many years I owned *the* finest known specimen of the "holy grail" of electronic video game gadgets. Then I sold it. In doing so, the photography and text used to promote the item spread across the blogosphere to hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of days. I am documenting this here because these sorts of things have been part of my online process since 1998. During these years on eBay I have sold nearly 1000 items and published 2000-3000 photographs. I have always found it interesting how a marketplace environment such as eBay can also be useful for educational/discovery purposes. I have seen and learned so many things while 'shopping' there.
