Entex Adventure Vision video game system. Like new in box warehouse
condition. Comes with 3 additional cartridges (4 in total) which is all
that were ever made for it. Each of these are also in like new in box
warehouse condition. Everything is 100% tested and working. Probably
the nicest condition Adventure Vision system in the world.
Brief history of this item... 6 years ago it was found in a local
toy company warehouse. It had been sitting in this distribution
warehouse in Colorado, in a dry, controlled climate, since being
shipped from the Entex factory in the early 1980s. It was never shipped
out to any stores, due to low consumer demand - a casualty of the
mid-1980's video game market crash. I personally was the first person
to pull the Adventure Vision box out of the case, and the I am the only
person who has ever touched this system since it left the Entex
factory. This goes also for the 3 additional cartridges. The boxes have
only been opened about 5-10 times. The unit has seen only a few hours
total playtime. I remember there being 2 cases (7 or 8 systems)
discovered in this warehouse. I helped the owner sell many of them to
game collectors worldwide. Only 2 of them I remember were in untouched,
unopened condition. I had pick of the litter, and when I chose one for
myself I naturally took the best one. This is the exact system that is
for sale here today.
I also have for you, 2 bonus items. 1st is the Adventure Vision
factory shipping case that this particular unit came out of. It is a
large empty box from the factory which once held 4 units, and it has
various Entex and Adventurevision markings throughout. It is in very
good condition. 2nd is a photocopy paper from the aforementioned toy
distribution warehouse where the units were discovered. It is from the
Entex company and lists various items that were available from Entex
including the item numbers, descriptions, distributor prices, and it is
addressed to this distributor. Included in the list is the Adventure
Vision, its cartridges, and other electronic games like Crazy Climber,
Space Invader, and Stargate. Both these items are included as
provenance, that this is indeed a virtually untouched collectible,
coming to me directly from a distributor./p>
I believe with the enlarged photos you can see the minimal type
of wear which exists on the boxes. The surface of the game system and
cartridges are as close to a perfect 10 as you can get. And no
yellowing whatsoever, which is very common with this type of vintage
white plastic. The original 'caution' sticker is still on the control
console. I once removed this sticker carefully, to check the condition
underneath, and then replaced the sticker. There was little to no
damage under the sticker. The next owner can remove this sticker if
desired, and easily clean the minimal glue residue which I saw
underneath without damaging the plastic surface. The chrome area on the
control console still has the factory plastic removable covering on it,
which you can just barely see in the photos, where it is peeling up
slightly in the lower left corner.
Free Fed-Ex insured shipping worldwide. Sorry, I cannot accept
Paypal nor any credit cards. The payment methods available are bank
transfer (international), cashier's check, or cash pickup in the Denver
Colorado area. Not only can you check my ebay history to see over 10
years of experience, but from the photo addresses you may see also that
I am from the video game website www.miniarcade.com. Through that site
(now in its 8th year) I have sold classic video games to hundreds,
maybe thousands of collectors worldwide. Simply stated, you can be sure
you are dealing with an honest, established, reputable dealer.
Serious
buyers only please. Feel free to ask questions. While I do invite you
to send your best offers, I cannot say that a lower price will be given
at this time. The unit has been tested to the best of my abilities as
an established vintage electronic video game dealer, and all functions
have recently been verified to work. In fact, never has there been a
functional problem with this system or cartridges. But due to the
fragile nature of vintage electronics such as this, it is being sold to
you as-is. No returns or refunds will be given, except at the sole
discretion of the seller.
You can surely monitor the
collecting market for years to come, and you can find a cheaper
Adventure Vision system in excellent condition, most likely suitable
for your purposes. That would be the sane thing to do. But having dealt
in
this collecting market for more than 12 years, I can safely say that
you will likely never have a chance to purchase a nicer complete
Adventure Vision system in your lifetime. When you look at the
Adventure Vision's combined rarity, desirability, fragility,
eccentricity, and beauty, perhaps it is easy to see why it is commonly
known as the "holy grail" of golden-age video game collecting. This one
is investment, museum quality folks. Its the best I have ever seen,
either in person or on the net. In fact I challenge anyone to show
proof of a fresher, more mint, complete set.
Thanks for looking and please enjoy the photos of this classic video gaming masterpiece!
